Hey guys,
I'm TDY to Little Rock for the next few months, but I brought the coins with me to ship out. I will be home for two weeks during the Christmas holiday. I hate to see people in the local (panhandle) area pay for shipping for just one or two coins when I live nearby. So if you can wait, I can arrange a day that I will be on base (or at home) for you to buy your coins.
Or, if you just can't wait, I'll keep on shipping them from here.

PAVE LOW Lithos
There are still lithos left from the reunion. These are from Paul Treleven's painting. Use this link to pay, the POC for all of this is Capt Scott Dunning.

It's all said and done. The last PAVE LOW squadron has deactivated, the last PAVE LOWs are awaiting their final resting place, the last warriors are moving on, and while the reunion is over, it will not be the last.. Some have said that this ends another chapter in the book and a new chapter begins. In my opinion, this ended the book and a new book will have to be written.
Witnessing the massive amount of people that showed up was awe inspiring. Meeting people you only heard about, seeing old friends and mentors again, and even making some new friends, all sharing a very common bond is what filled the air.
We paid tribute to our mighty machine and we will miss her very much. But, the brotherhood that was formed throughout the years will be our everlasting memory that we will never forget.
As everyone heads home, the history we made is being documented. In two or three years, the PAVE LOW book will be released for us to remember how the best capability the United States ever had was formed. That capability was not just the aircraft, but more so the people who's primary goal was to accomplish the mission in any way possible, as safe as possible, and to exacting standards.
For me personally, this has been the best experience of my life and has shaped me into the man that I am. Many others have stated the exact same message. And as I have said before, this website is not mine, it is ours, I can only encourage everyone to realize that you all have the pieces of history that need to be shared. We can share them here, but only with your donation of pictures, videos, documents and stories. This site is for the community and will be here for us to share our memories and stay connected with friends, for years to come.
Lastly, a thank you is not nearly enough to say to those who made these past events possible. To name a few, Lt Col Hoyer, Maj Stamos, Capt Johnson, MSgt Hughes, Amn Whall, and many others who worked their butt off and to who we owe a debt of gratitude. |
